Adventure at the Park

I love going to amusement parks. The thrill of going on different rides is beyond great. Roller coasters, simulator rides, rides where you get wet and even just frolicking in the kiddie playground is fun.

My family went to Enchanted Kingdom yesterday. It was the “family day” of my dad’s company and they closed the entire park just for us. It was my first time to go EK and I could not help myself from comparing it to Brunei’s Jerudong Park. It was nothing compared to JP. There were less rides and the place wasn’t as big. But, nevertheless, I still had a great time.

We stayed the entire day. From 8 in the morning ’til 9 in the evening. We went on rides, played games, fooled around and ate. The best thing about the day was seeing familiar faces. Since it was a company gathering, we got to see some people we knew from a long time ago.

Some of dad’s officemates from Bacolod and Davao were there. It’s amazing that I still recognized them, even if it’s been years since I last saw them. I was 5 when we left Bacolod and 9 when we left Davao. Funny, but I actually remember quite a lot of memories with them.

We spent most of our time hanging out with old friends from Brunei. It’s hard to believe how old we all are now. I remember back in Brunei. We used to just go out biking or spend the day wrestling with each other. Now, we’re all grown and matured; some still in college, while some already working. It was nice seeing all of them again.

I took quite a lot of pictures of our day…

Waiting to get in the park.

hehe. I must’ve looked weird taking a shot of this big figure! o_O;;

My bro, sis and I… well, our shoes, more like it. ;)

My dad and them had games in store for them. Dad was included in their version of the Amazing Race. It looked really fun actually… Dad’s the one on the right in the light yellow shirt.

Dad’s team (obviously, the yellow team) running to their next destination. Oh, their team won overall- 1st place! ^__^

Ahh, the Space Shuttle. It’s the same as JP’s “Boomerang.” This was the first thing (and the 2nd- we went on it twice in a row) my bro, sis and I went on. I forgot how fun this ride was. I still miss JP’s “Pusing Lagi” though… that’s the best rollercoaster I’ve ever been on. They should consider having that here too..

The Rio Grande. We wanted to get wet so bad. I had to go on three times to get completely wet. The first two go’s, I barely got wet, but by the third go, I was soaked and looked like I just jumped into a pool with my clothes on. hehe.

My bro and sis, stopping to get a drink. The sun was way hot. My nose is a little red right now. Oh, and I think I’m a little darker too! @_@;;

Xtreme Paintball. wooh! We had fun shooting eachother! haha. Joe (one of our friends from Bunei) and I were on one team and my bro and sis were on the other. Joe and I won both games. First game, Joe got my bro out and I got my sis. 2nd game, I got my bro out. hahaha. It was way fun!

KB and Carla on the bouncy Joust. They looked funny on that. Both of them were too tired to actually hit eachother.

Me… with my legs crossed…

My feet. hehe. They were really sore, I tell you! XP

Ahh, Carla and her Mirinda Apple.

KB and I resting in the canteen.

Night came and I was bored and tired. I sat in one of the benches and started taking pictures of people waking by. hahaha!

mmmm, dinner to-go from Subway. ;)

Ahh, finally back home. My feet were sore from all the walking! o_O;;
Anyway, for the rest of the day, I was having too much fun going around that I forgot to take pictures. We went on a lot of other rides and did a whole lot of things and I totally had a great time.

I loved everything, but I have to say that my favorite was wall climbing. I’ve loved that sport ever since I first tried it in St. Scho, around 2 and a half years ago. It was a little harder on the one they had in EK, because they had that slanting part, but it was a great challenge. I beat both KB and Carla’s times too! hahaha. Now I’m even thinking of doing wall climbing regularly. Anyone wanna join me? ;)

Ahh, I was so exhausted when I got home, that I miraculously went to bed straight away. That was at 10 in the evening, mind you! LOL! I was THAT tired. I woke up 14 hours (yes 14!!!) later and my muscles were aching. Every part of my body’s in pain. I wonder how many calories I lost. XP hehe

Oh well, all the pain I’m feeling now is worth it. I did have a great Sunday anyway. ^_,~;;
