It was sort of a spur of the moment thing. We hadn’t planned on doing anything special to celebrate our 31st month together. He was busy with his work, and I was busy with mine. Getting off work at 7 in the evening has been pretty tiring, and I didn’t think I’d have the energy to go out for the night.

But, during lunch time I was told that I would have to drive home alone after work (I usually ride with my mom, but she had to do some errands with my dad). I wanted to take advantage of having the car for the night, so we ended up deciding to have a quick dinner celebration afterall.

Since we were hoping to try something new, this is where we ended up. Fish & Co. at Shangri-La Edsa Mall.

It was a perfect choice, because we definitely enjoyed our order. Especially this: New York Fish & Chips. Every bite was just mouth-boggling-good! It was so good, that I was actually dreaming about it while I was driving home! Seriously!

The service was commendable too. Our server could not have been any more accommodating, because he practically checked on us every 10 minutes or so.

The interior did make me feel like I was by the sea. The walls were blue and there were shell ornaments everywhere. It was pretty big and spacious, but I did notice that the restroom was a little cramped. The ladder back chairs with rush seats looked a uncomfortable too. Good thing we chose to sit on the comfy cushion seats by the wall.

We talked, laughed and stuffed ourselves to the brim. I’m glad we decided to have the quick celebration. Our exhaustion from work was definitely nourished with great food and great company. <3
