It does, indeed, Anna! I may look into those Faber pens tomorrow, and look around for a starter gouache set - it is, after all, one medium that I have NEVER used!

Is it gouache that can be used like oils OR like watercolours, or is that just acrylics? I'm guessing that whichever the case, the less water hits the moleskine page, the better!

@Nicolas: Thank you very much! =) And yes, I do mean a Moleskine Sketchbook. That's what I use to house my moleskine art. Gouache works VERY WELL with it. It's actually the only type of paint I know that sticks to the pages well. Sharpies and other markers definitely bleed through, but you might want to try using Faber Castell Pitt Artist Pens. They're the only markers that I know, and have actually tried, that doesn't bleed through the page. =) Hope that helps!

Beautiful work in your moleskines, Anna! I have found my way to your blog via the Skineart blog, and I love your stuff.

I do have a question, and this seems like the best thread to ask it: when you say you're using the Moleskine sketch, are you talking about the basic sketchbooks that they do, or the special watercolour books?

I've played around with media in mine, and they can't take Sharpies or charcoal fixative without bleed-through, but I'd like to work in something other then pencil and technical pen. I'm certain that they won't take watercolour, but if you're using the same books as I am, then maybe gouache is the way to go?

Well done with the exhibition!
