Early Christmas Shopping
Posted on: 27th of December 2008 | Under: Fashion & Beauty

Hours before our flight back to Manila, we were roaming around Orchard for some last minute shopping. I still needed to buy a few more goodies for my family, and I also wanted to check out the newly opened Sephora before leaving.

The range of makeup brands at Sephora was rather disappointing. No Nars or Urban Decay. Sad, because those were the two brands that I was really looking forward to. =( At least they brought in their house brand, which were  priced quite reasonably.

I only had little time to check out their entire range, so I only walked out with two things: a Sephora Ultra Shine Lip Gloss in #28, and a Sephora Blush Me! Trio in Brun 12. These are going to my sister (because she begged for them), so I’ll have to make another trip to town to get my own. =P

I bought the Mac eye shadow in Shroom at Changi Airport. They were only selling at SGD22.90, as opposed to the SGD28 in town, so I just had to get a pot! Now I’m tempted to drop by there again when we fly back on the 3rd! =D Sorry for the not-so-pretty photo, the lighting in my room isn’t so nice. =P

This pretty brush set was also waiting for me when I arrived back home:

My Charm Travel Pro Set! They’re so pretty in pink! =)

I haven’t shopped for myself since we arrived in Manila, but I’m definitely going to treat myself before we leave.

Feeding the Fish
Posted on: 27th of December 2008 | Under: Fashion & Beauty

My feet morphed into ugly little things recently. Both heels and flats tortured them to it. I really needed to treat them, so the afternoon before we flew back to Manila, I dragged JR out to Bugis Street where we spent thirty minutes feeding our feet to an army of fish.

I’ve been wanting to try going for a Fish Spa for months, but due to JR and I’s busy schedules, we only had the time to try it out last week.

Check out my feet being attacked:

The fish feasted on JR’s too:

They obviously liked his feet more! LOL!

The whole fish spa experience wasn’t as scary as I had initially feared. The fish nibbling on my dead skin didn’t hurt at all. In fact, it only felt like getting a regular foot spa, except it felt a little more ticklish.

The spa where we went to was more affordable than other more popular ones. Our thirty minute session only cost SGD15.00 each, as opposed to more commercialized spas going for at least SGD35.00. Quite a good deal, I must say. I just had to ignore the annoyingly loud and talkative lady at the booth. She made me want to get out of there right away. o_O

Thirty minutes wasn’t long enough for the entire fish spa, so I’m hoping to go for another session (will probably try out a different place) when we fly back.

I’m off to dreamland now (dreams about Wilmington NC real estate maybe?). I hope everyone’s having a wonderful holiday! I truly am! =)

It’s Christmas Time Again

The spirit of Christmas is in the peace, hope and joy that it brings. May it touch your heart and remain with you today and always.

Hope everyone gets stuffed with lots of food (bring out the ham and chocolate cake!), gifts (talking watches, anyone?) and love! I know I will. Being back home is definitely the best Christmas gift. <3

Bloggers Meet
Posted on: 18th of December 2008 | Under: Life & Love

I’ve been blogging for almost nine years, and even if I’ve gained quite a number of friends throughout that time, I’ve only met a handful of them. I was never really active in blogger meets and events.

I think it was about time that I expanded my network here in Singapore, so last week JR and I had dinner and drinks with Ederic, Alex and Leo.

I’ve never met the guys before (I actually only knew Ederic prior to the dinner), but we still had an awesome time. We ate so much, that nothing (not even Lipovox for some people) would’ve worked to hide the belly bulge that we all went home with. XP

I like meeting new people, and I really hope to meet more bloggers here. XD
