I Have a New Toy!
Posted on: 23rd of September 2009 | Under: Geek Talk

My personal genie has been granting my wishes! The latest of which was giving me a new notebook computer. :) Meet my new 13″ MacBook Pro. <3

MacBook Pro

Three and a half years with my old MacBook was a time well spent, but it was just getting frustratingly slow every single day. Check out how old and tattered my white MacBook looks next to my lovely Pro:

the old and the new

Jumping from a first gen MacBook, I still get amazed at the lightning speed of the MacBook Pro. Tiger to Snow Leopard, for the win! I love love love it! <3

And even with very little sleep (check out the baggages under my eyes!) and no makeup, I still happily posed with my new baby. :)

MB Pro and I

Excuse the dirty top of the MacBook Pro. Everyone kept touching it as soon as it was taken out of the bag! LOL!

Ate Janz: Hehe! Oh, you just can’t see how tattered the white one really is from that far! HAHA!

I wish I had a genie too :) Ang ganda ng laptop. I own a laptop as well pero hindi ganun kagandahan. I had it since I was in college. Ang tagal na!! Pero hindi ko pa napapalitan kaya nagtitiis ako sa dalas ng paghahang :P I’m still saving up for a new one, sana I’ll be able to buy one next year :D

Lei: Wow, I salute you for being able to take care of it that long! And for being patient para pagtiyagaan ang paghahang! Although hindi pa naman grabe yung pagka-slow ng old MacBook ko, minsan talaga nakakabaliw na sya gamitin! Hahaha!

I could use one of those personal genies! Haha! Where can I buy one? Kidding!

Like I have said on Flickr, I am impressed with the clarity of the colours in the newer MacBook. I am now highly considering on upgrading to Snow Leopard, because I could use a little bit more speed now. I think CS4 can wait! Haha!

By the way, I’ve been meaning to ask (if I have asked, I forgot, and I’m sorry I’m asking again), when you use AutoCAD, do you use Parallels or reboot in Windows?

Maria Celina: Go go, upgrade! You’ll be amazed at its speed! Hehe! Well, I have to say that I haven’t used AutoCad on my mac (even on my old macbook) in ages! I also don’t have windows installed on my MB Pro as of the moment. But, I used to use it using Bootcamp on my MB. It was rather slow, but maybe because my old mac was running on tiger then. Have yet to try it out on this new machine. =P
