EN-X performed at Cathay Cineleisure for the Noise Street Festival last Saturday. I’m not being biased, but really, they rocked the crowd! Even the host was blown away with their set.
There was also quite a number of the band’s friends and fans who came to watch.
Mel and Ate Trinna were there cheering throughout the set. We posed with JR like promising groupies after their last song. =P

My brother and Kenn also came. I don’t feel like sharing the photo I took with them that night, but here’s one taken on their first night in Singapore. =P

For those who missed it, you can still watch them perform this Saturday (November 15) at Scape Youth Park. Check out the event details here. =)
More photos in my multiply.

Check out JR’s band’s acoustic video:
One Republic’s Apologize (Cover by EN-X)
Can’t wait for them to shoot videos of their originals! I’m not being biased or anything, but seriously, they have awesome stuff! XD

Jeff, our flatmate, bought a spanking new Playstation 3 and a Rock Band set the other night, and it has succeeded in keeping us up ’til the wee hours of the morning.
I’m no musician. I went to piano school for about two to three years in my younger years, but the keys never really had the patience with me. A family friend also attempted to teach me to play the guitar in the middle of my High School years, but I had a difficult time with that and I never really got around to completing a song (yes, not even one!). Another family friend also taught me a few beats on the drums a few years ago, and even if I could keep up with a few songs, I was just never excellent at it. It’s pretty ironic that my boyfriend is a drummer, right? And here I am, with very-little-bordering-on-nothing-at-all talent in music. And did I mention that I’m no good in singing either? Yep. I am part of that 5% of Filipinos who croak when they attempt to sing. Lol!
Don’t get me wrong. I always wished I was musically inclined. I did have dreams of being a rock star when I was younger too. But I guess rock and I are just not meant to be. I’ll stick to just enjoying and loving music.
Thank goodness for Rock Band though. I’m actually getting better at both the drums and the guitar/bass. Okay, so I always keep the level down to Easy, and I have to admit that my fingers freeze in the middle of the song from time to time, but I’m happy to say that I’m progressing. I like living my rock star dreams through the game. Because really, that’s just how far I can make those childhood dreams come true!
Now I just have to deal with my fingers going numb and my feet aching from time to time. I doubt that it’ll progress to anything serious like Plantar Fasciitis, so I will keep up with the beat until we actually get sick of playing! =P

Lifehouse has been my favorite band for the longest time. Their songs, no matter how old they are, still find its way on my iTunes’ most played. If you even take a peek at my music library on Last.Fm, it would be of no surprise to find Lifehouse on the top of my artist list. I just never get tired of their music.
They had a huge concert back in Manila a month after I moved Singapore. It was disappointment at its best, because I told myself that I wouldn’t miss them play if they came to Manila after I missed the Maroon 5 concert (they’re also one of my favorites) a few months earlier. Going back home just for the concert was not even an option, so I resorted to listening (and reading) to friends share their concert experiences. In the end, I was even more jealous.
I had forgotten about the missed opportunity of seeing them live, when the biggest surprise came just two days after we arrived back from our Manila trip; Lifehouse performing in Singapore! JR didn’t even have to ask me if I wanted to go, because he bought us tickets before I even found out about the whole performance. I was in the middle of an afternoon nap and was still half asleep when JR sent me a text message about it. I got up so fast that I almost fell off the bed (oh my dear life, time to check out life insurance rates, perhaps?).
So, how was my Lifehouse experience, you may ask?
FANTASTICALLY MIND-BLOWING!

For me, dancing is the best workout, because sweating on the dance floor is something that I really enjoy. I remember being in the Dance Club back when I studied in St. Scholastica’s College for three semesters. We used to train late at night, and would even stay in school until way past midnight if we had a production. It was exhausting, but I enjoyed every minute of it.
I miss Fitness First and Body Jam. I became a gym buff for almost a year back in Manila. Going to the gym for Body Jam sessions right after a tiring day at work was never a chore, because I considered it fun. Plus, I lost a lot of weight while at it too! I never had to take prohormones, or any other working out supplement, because dancing itself kept me fit.
I really wish I could dance again. Maybe I can find a nice gym with dance workouts here in Singapore.

I tagged along with JR to his band, EN-X’s, first photo shoot yesterday. It was fun following them around as the official photographer clicked away on his camera with his professional photography knowledge and skills. I just clicked away using my amateurish skills. XP

Listen to their music on myspace.
