Seventh Anniversary Giveaway WINNERS

Thank you to all those who joined my first ever Blog Giveaway. :)

I was thrilled with the wonderful response from all the bloggers out there. From the forty people who joined, only about seven are people I already know. The rest, I guess, are either silent readers or new readers too. Either way, I had a lovely time going around the different blogs of those who commented. This contest was a great way for me to finally do some blog hopping. And that’s something I haven’t done in YEARS!

I’m so excited to give away these moleskines, because I want to let others experience the love for these notebooks. I reckon they’re truly the best gifts for her/him for any occasion!

Daily Optimystique’s Seventh Anniversary Giveaway (CLOSED)

This blog and domain just turned seven years on the 4th of April! :)

Throughout the years (including the five years of posting in other domains before moving here), blogging has opened a lot of doors for me and has introduced me to whole lot wonderful people, some of which I can even call real friends now. But most importantly, blogging has brought me to where I am now–happily married to my wonderful husband, who nine years ago just happened to be someone I called a “blogger friend.” :)

For seven years, this blog has chronicled a whole lot of experiences and noteworthy memories of my life. That’s a pretty long time to be babbling about myself, but I know there are still a handful of people out there who still read my posts, no matter how mundane my adventures are. So in light of this blog’s seventh anniversary, I figured it was time to actively involve my readers, including those silent ones too, by holding my very first blog giveaway.

If you’re a loyal reader of this blog, I’m sure you know very well about my love affair with Moleskine notebooks. So, to share my love for these wonderful little things, I’m giving away two Moleskine notebooks FOR FREE! :)

Pinoy Plurkers / Bloggers Fiesta in Singapore

In the years that I’ve been blogging, I can generally count with my fingers the number of times I’ve gone out to meet other bloggers. I’ve never really been active with blogger events. In fact, in the last couple of years, I hardly even visit new blogs. I still visit and read those that I’ve been constantly reading for years, but I don’t bloghop much anymore.

But eversince I moved here in Singapore, meeting other bloggers has somewhat become more fun for me. Perhaps having a great time meeting Ederic, Alex and Leonard last December made me more excited about meeting new people.

So last week, I was glad to meet with other Pinoy plurkers/bloggers over dinner and a round of drinks after. I met up with April, waited for JR to get off work (web programming jobs, yo!), then walked to The Esplanade. I’m happy we went, because it was a definitely one great night with yummy Thai food, free dessert, free wine too (!!!), and fun (funny? =P) company.

Six Years

This blog and domain turns six years today. Wow, I didn’t know that I’ve been blabbing that long! LOL! Prior to my purchasing this domain, I was hosted at another domain for over a year (if I remember correctly). Before that, I was blogging at several different places on the web (blogger, tabulas, diary-x, blurty, livejournal, and even my manually uploaded blogs on homestead and geocities!) for almost three years. Do the math and it calculates to ten years of jumping around the internet!

Throughout those years, I’ve probably talked about everything that there is to talk about oneself; From teenage angst and school, to family matters and matters of the heart, to even trivial things like the weather, random memes, cockroach kissing (I can point a few people who would probably remember this! haha!), to auto insurance. I’ve also met a lot of wonderful people online that I can say have become really good friends of mine too. And for those who don’t know, I even met my boyfriend of almost six years, through blogging. It’s really wonderful what the internet can do to a person. :)

So, in light of the six years of this blog, I’d like to ask everyone reading to drop a line or two in the comment box. It doesn’t matter if you’ve been a long-time / regular reader or are just new or merely passing by, I’d still love to hear from you. :) Thanks!
