Sick in Bed

Sniffles and loud coughing woke me up from my sleep last night. I quickly opened my eyes to see where it was coming from and realized instantly that it was from myself. I sat up and cold sweat dripped from my forehead. I was obviously sick.

I itched in bed the enitre night. My throat felt as if a frog had decided to reside in it. My nose was stuffed and it made breathing a little hard.

Being sick sucks. I end up sneezing every 15 minutes and feel as if my head’s being tortured with pounding headaches. My throat starts feeling itchy, as if someone is frolickly tickling it with feathers in their hand. Tossing and turning in between sniffing and coughing, falling asleep is even harder.

I think I was able to snag about 2 hours of sleep before I stood up at 9 to have some hot soup. Another thing I hate about being sick is that everything tastes bland. Yeh, I couldn’t taste my soup. I felt as if I was just taking in hot water. It did make me feel somewhat better though.

An hour later, I was back in bed and this time, I snagged over 7 hours of sleep. I would’ve slept longer except my tummy was angrily growling for food. I quickly made myself some early dinner of chicken and potatoes and was glad that I could actually taste them. ^_,~;;

Ahh, I hope I peacefully fall asleep tonight. I don’t think I can stand another night of barking coughs. o_O;;

this bowl of soup in the morning made me feel better.

snuggled under my covers.
